The Islander on the Beach has recently undergone an extensive renovation. This ocean front resort property features 6 acres of well manicured tropical gardens located on the east or "coconut coast" of Kauai. The East coast of Kauai is a nice, central location which makes drives either north (to the Princeville area) or south (to the Poipu area) very managable.
All hotel rooms are decorated in plantation-style decor, sleep up to 4 (kids 17 and under stay free), with private lanais, air conditioning, coffee makers and mini-refrigerators available in every room.
Enjoy breathtaking ocean views from the new pool area which features outdoor day beds, thatched umbrellas and BBQ grills. The beach is beautiful white sand and you can swim in the ocean. There is excellent golfing right down the street at the Wailua Municipal course, which is a great value. The Coconut Plantation is within walking distance and features 60 shops, restaurants and 2 cinemas
