The Whaler

Located adjacent to Whalers Village in the Kaanapali Resort, the Whaler offers the perfect combination of wonderful accommodations, recreational activities, and the perfect location on one of Maui's finest beaches.

Along with it's excellent location, this resort offers an oceanside pool, spa, bbqs, air conditioning, sauna, elevators, fitness center, 24-hour business center, free hi-speed internet acces in units, and daily maid service. The Whaler consists of 360 units spread out through 2 - 12 story buildings and is serviced by 6 elevators.  Both buildings are oceanfront and are seperated from each other by a large garden area, koi ponds, and the oceanfront swimming pool area.

The Whaler is a well-run resort and the staff is friendly.  The pool courtyard was redone in 2009 and looks wonderful set along the beach with the courtyard and koi ponds nearby.  North facing lanais feature a nice view of Moloka'i while southern facing lanais offer a view of Lana'i. 

The Whaler has been undergoing renovation since 2008.  They are now beginning the final phase which will last from March, 2011 through December, 2011.  The final phase is exterior work and will include painting, railing replacement on the lanais, and new planting boxes.  So, all the jackhammering and pool closures are done.

The studios are fairly large at 640 square feet.  The one bedroom, one bath units are 1,114 square feet while the one bedroom, two baths are similar at 1,118 square feet.
